Small Groups

Community among believers is a vital part of the Christian Faith. Every Christian has been created to be connected with other believers. We believe a Christian cannot be all that God desires him/her to be without biblical community. We have a wide variety of small groups that meet once a week to help foster such community and spiritual growth.

Local Outreach

Vardaman Street is set on being faithful to Christ’s Great Commission beginning in our own local community. We offer several opportunities to share the love and truth of Jesus Christ within Stone County. Such ministries include Service Projects and Backyard Bible Clubs through Serve Stone County, ministering to residents at SCH Nursing Home, and various outreach projects led by our small groups.

Missions

God calls believers to make disciples of all nations. VSBC provides opportunities to do so at home and abroad. Such opportunities have included Seattle, Chicago, Nicaragua, Trinidad, and the Philippines. Mission trips vary from year to year. We also support BMAA missions, including Danny Ballard our missionary to the Philippines, and mission efforts through the SBC.

Men’s Ministry

We believe Godly men are essential to the health of our church and families. We have a growing men’s ministry that includes a men’s small group that meets on Sunday nights, Men’s Bible Study on Monday nights at 6:30, discipleship opportunities through DiscipleWay and other avenues, Men’s Sunday Prayer Breakfast, Monthly Fellowships at Saw Mill Restaurant, and various conferences and activities throughout the year.

Women’s Ministry

VSBC could not function without Godly women. We have a great women’s ministry that includes WMA’s, discipleship opportunities through DiscipleWay, monthly “Ladies Night Out”, and Secret Sisters.

College and Young Adult Ministry

Building committed disciples among our college students and young adults is also a priority for us. We offer a Sunday morning college and career small group, an evening small group for young adults, and various activities through out the year including the Passion Conference.

Nursery Ministry

Not only do we provide nursery as a service for our parents, but we also value the safety and spiritual well being of our children. Nursery is provided during Sunday School, Morning Service, Sunday Evening Service and Small Groups, and Wednesday Night AWANA.
